The Assistant Electrical Project Manager is responsible for aiding in the overall planning, execution, and successful delivery of self-perform union electrical construction projects. This role involves comprehensive project management, resource allocation, budget control, and client relationship management.

Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning and Strategy:
- Aid in the development of project strategies, including scope, objectives, timelines, and budgets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project goals and success criteria.
- Resource Management:
- Lead and manage project resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials.
- Assist in subcontractor selection and coordination, ensuring adherence to project requirements.
- Budget and Cost Control:
- Manage project budgets, continuously monitoring and controlling project costs.
- Evaluate cost-saving opportunities and effectively manage change orders.
- Scheduling and Timeline Management:
- Assist in maintaining project schedules.
- Monitor project progress, anticipate delays, and implement corrective actions.
- Quality Assurance:
- Oversee rigorous quality control processes to ensure construction work meets or exceeds industry standards and client expectations.
- Document and resolve quality-related issues.
- Risk Management:
- Identify project risks, develop comprehensive risk mitigation plans, and monitor risk factors.
- Take proactive measures to address and mitigate potential issues.
- Project Reporting:
- Prepare and distribute comprehensive project status reports, performance metrics, and progress updates to stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred but not required.
- 1-2 years of experience on electrical construction projects in the industrial / heavy commercial market.
- Proficiency in project management software, scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Outstanding communication, negotiation, and client relationship-building abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of construction industry practices, regulations, and safety standards.
