The Human Resources Generalist II supports day-to-day HR operations across the Kansas City region, with a focus on talent acquisition support, onboarding, employee relations, and HR compliance. This role works under the direction of the Talent Acquisition Supervisor and partners closely with the broader HR team to ensure a consistent employee experience aligned with Enerfab’s values. The Generalist II serves as a resource to both craft and non-craft personnel, helping to implement HR processes that support business success.
Key Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
Partner with Talent Acquisition Supervisor to coordinate candidate outreach, interviews, and job postings.
Facilitate smooth onboarding for new hires, including coordination with field leaders, IT, and payroll.
Support candidate experience and hiring manager communication throughout the recruiting process.
Employee Relations & Field Support
Serve as an HR contact for craft and non-craft employees in the region, providing guidance on policies, procedures, and general HR concerns.
Escalate complex or sensitive employee relations issues to HR leadership as needed.
Provide on-site or remote support to project teams to reinforce compliance with HR procedures.
HR Operations & Compliance
Maintain accuracy of employee records in the HRIS system.
Assist in executing HR programs and initiatives such as performance reviews, engagement efforts, and safety alignment.
Conduct audits and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
Support investigations, documentation, and reporting as directed by HR leadership.
HR Communication & Culture Support
Support site-level implementation of HR and culture-related communications.
Assist with engagement and retention initiatives within the Kansas City region.
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Minimum 3 years of progressive HR experience
Working knowledge of HR compliance, employment law, and best practices
Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
High degree of professionalism and confidentiality
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS platforms
Preferred:
Prior experience supporting field-based or construction employees
Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
Experience supporting both recruiting and generalist functions
