Position: Electrical Estimator
Location: Lee’s Summit, Missouri
Division: Midwest Region - Enerfab Power & Industrial
Reports to: Estimating Manager
SALARY: $105,000 to $125,000 per year

Position Description:
The ideal candidate will be responsible for estimating the costs of direct-hire industrial construction projects, particularly Electrical scopes. The candidate will be familiar with our competitive advantages as an organization and will be able to communicate those to our benefit throughout the bidding process.
Responsibilities
- Project estimating coordination with all scopes when leading an estimate
- Write Supplier and Subcontractor Request for pricing
- Lead electrical estimates and assign tasks
- Customer interaction
- Develop and write a construction execution plan as well as associated indirect costs
- Develop manpower loading chart
- Site visits and job preconstruction meeting attendance if needed
- Attend weekly estimating meetings
- Attend and conduct internal review meetings
- Attend and conduct executive review meetings
- Attend and conduct project turn over meetings with operations.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 - 5 years of estimating experience in construction with experience with industrial electrical systems
- Minimum High School Diploma or Equivalent. Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management is preferred, although not mandatory with the right background and practical experience.
- Basic knowledge of current means and method of electrical installations
- Experience with conceptual estimating, high/low voltage systems estimating, & design/build estimating a plus
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications
- Familiarity with the NEC
- P6 scheduling knowledge
- Estimating software knowledge (Hard Dollar, Accubid, etc.)
- Familiarity with engineering design documents (e.g. isometrics) and specification.
- Basic Industry knowledge in power, oil and gas, food/beverage/agriculture and/or water.
- Local Knowledge of the KC electrical market is preferred.
- EPC or design/build experience a plus.
- Possesses leadership skills.
- Communicates well with others and coordinate estimates
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND EXPECTATIONS
- Some job duties are performed within an established office environment under normal lighting and climate-controlled tolerances. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
- When the employee is at a work site, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places and outdoor weather conditions. The noise in the work environment is often loud.
- Requires a consistent physical presence at the branch office to oversee shared services functions and employees, normally achieved by working standard business hours. Certain positions will require a flexibility of working hours to meet the demands of the job and the direction of the manager.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
- Requires lifting, positioning, pushing, and/or pulling.

- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds at times.
