The Project Manager is responsible for the overall planning, execution, and successful delivery of construction projects. This role involves comprehensive project management, resource allocation, budget control, and client relationship management.
Key Responsibilities: 1. Project Planning and Strategy:
Develop project strategies, including scope, objectives, timelines, and budgets.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project goals and success criteria.
2. Resource Management:
Lead and manage project resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials.
Oversee subcontractor selection and coordination, ensuring adherence to project requirements.
3. Budget and Cost Control:
Create and manage project budgets, continuously monitoring and controlling project costs.
Evaluate cost-saving opportunities and effectively manage change orders.
4. Scheduling and Timeline Management:
Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using industry-standard scheduling software (e.g., Primavera, Microsoft Project).
Monitor project progress, anticipate delays, and implement corrective actions.
5. Quality Assurance:
Implement and oversee rigorous quality control processes to ensure construction work meets or exceeds industry standards and client expectations.
Take proactive measures to address and mitigate potential issues.
7. Client Relations:
Serve as the primary client interface, managing client expectations, providing regular updates, and ensuring overall client satisfaction.
Address client inquiries, issues, and change requests effectively.
8. Project Reporting:
Prepare and distribute comprehensive project status reports, performance metrics, and progress updates to stakeholders.
Lead project meetings and present status to senior management.
9. Contract Management:
Review project contracts, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions.
Collaborate with legal teams to manage contractual aspects and resolve disputes.
10. Estimating:
Independently prepare accurate cost estimates for industrial construction projects, including detailed material take-offs, labor and equipment costs, subcontractor bids, and other project expenses.
Ensure estimates are comprehensive and align with project requirements.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; Master's degree is a plus.
5-7 years of experience in project management, preferably in the construction industry, with a proven track record of managing medium to large-scale projects.
Proficiency in project management software, scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Exceptional leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Outstanding communication, negotiation, and client relationship-building abilities.
In-depth knowledge of construction industry practices, regulations, and safety standards.
