The Director of Quality will be responsible for establishing and maintaining rigorous quality control processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and upholding the highest standards of quality and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Quality Leadership:
• Provide strategic direction and leadership for the quality assurance department, aligning quality initiatives with the company's mission and business objectives.
• Develop and execute quality strategies and continuous improvement plans.
2. Quality Control and Assurance:
• Oversee the development and implementation of comprehensive quality control processes to meet or exceed project specifications and industry standards.
• Conduct regular quality audits and inspections to ensure compliance.
3. Quality Training and Education:
• Develop and deliver quality training programs for construction teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
4. Safety and Compliance:
• Work in conjunction with safety teams to ensure alignment of safety and quality initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
5. Documentation and Reporting:
• Maintain comprehensive quality documentation, including quality plans, inspection reports, and project records.
• Provide regular quality reports to senior management and stakeholders.
6. Quality Improvement Initiatives:
• Identify areas for quality improvement and lead corrective and preventive action plans.
• Collaborate with project teams to implement best practices and quality enhancements.
7. Client Relations:
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, addressing client concerns related to quality.
• Ensure exceptional client satisfaction with the quality of our projects.
8. Team Leadership:
• Lead and mentor the quality assurance team, including quality inspectors and analysts.
• Foster a culture of teamwork, collaboration, and professional growth.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quality Management, or a related field (Master's degree or relevant certifications are a plus).
• Valid Certified Welding Inspector with active certification.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in construction quality assurance, including leadership roles.
• Strong knowledge of construction quality control processes, safety protocols, and industry standards.
• Exceptional quality leadership, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency in quality management software and tools.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
